Terms and Conditions

Last updated: March 26, 2026

Welcome to VoxelVue (“VoxelVue”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and any products or services we provide, including our custom 3D‑printing services (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using our website or placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or Services.

1. Who we are

VoxelVue is a small business based in Kitchener, ON, Canada, providing custom 3D‑printing services, including parts, prototypes, hobby projects, and gifts.

Contact information:

Email: contact@voxelvue.ca

2. Eligibility

By using our website or placing an order, you represent that you:

Are using the Services for lawful purposes only.

Are at least the age of majority in your province or territory of residence, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

3. Our Services

VoxelVue offers custom 3D‑printing of physical objects based on designs, instructions, and specifications provided by you or created with your input. We may also offer related services such as light file preparation, basic design adjustments, and consulting.

We reserve the right to:

Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice, as long as we fulfill any orders already accepted and paid for, or provide appropriate refunds where required by law.

Refuse any project or order that we consider unsafe, illegal, offensive, or inappropriate (for example, weapons, hate symbols, or items that may violate someone else’s rights).

4. Quotes, Orders, and Payment

4.1 Quotes

When you request a quote, we may ask you to provide 3D files (e.g., STL or CAD), images, measurements, and other details. Quotes are based on factors such as estimated print time, material usage, complexity, post‑processing, and any additional services requested.

Unless stated otherwise, quotes:

Are valid only for a limited time (for example, 14 days) due to possible changes in material costs and availability.

Are estimates, not guarantees, and may change if the scope of work or design files change.

4.2 Placing an order

Your order is considered accepted when we confirm it in writing (for example, by email or message) and, where required, after full or partial payment is received.

We may require:

A deposit for larger or complex projects, with the balance due before pickup or shipping.

Full payment upfront for small or standard orders.

4.3 Pricing, taxes, and fees

All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.

Additional fees (for example, rush orders, special materials, or extra design work) will be communicated before you confirm your order.

Applicable taxes (such as HST) will be added as required by law.

4.4 Payment methods

We may accept payment by e‑transfer, credit card, PayPal, or other methods specified on our website or in our communications. Payments are processed through third‑party payment providers; their terms will also apply.

5. Cancellations, Changes, and Refunds

5.1 Cancellations and changes by you

Because our work is custom, we generally cannot resell items made for you. For that reason:

If we have already started printing or invested significant time in preparation, a cancellation fee may apply to cover our costs. Any remaining amount may be refunded at our discretion, depending on the project’s progress.

You may request to cancel or change your order before we start printing. We will do our best to accommodate, but we cannot guarantee changes once materials or setup work have begun.

5.2 Cancellations by us

We may cancel an order if:

  • The project is not feasible with our equipment or materials.
  • We believe the project is unsafe, illegal, or violates these Terms.
  • There are pricing or availability errors that materially affect the order.

If we cancel an order after payment, we will refund amounts you have paid for work not yet completed, unless the cancellation is due to your violation of these Terms.

5.3 Returns and refunds

Due to the custom nature of our products, all sales are generally final. We do not accept returns simply because you have changed your mind or no longer need the item.

However, if you believe there is a defect in materials or workmanship:

  • Contact us within a reasonable time (for example, within 7 days of pickup or delivery).
  • Provide clear photos and a description of the issue.
  • We will review each case individually and may, at our discretion, repair, reprint, or partially/fully refund the order if we determine that we are responsible for a significant defect.

Minor cosmetic imperfections that do not affect basic function (such as small layer lines, surface texture, or slight colour variation) are normal for 3D‑printed parts and are not considered defects.

6. Your Responsibilities and Representations

By providing designs, files, or instructions to VoxelVue, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to use and share the designs or content with us.
  • Your designs and content do not infringe any patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, moral right, or other intellectual property or privacy rights of any third party.
  • Your requested items are not intended for illegal purposes or to cause harm.

You are solely responsible for:

Testing and verifying that printed parts are safe and suitable for your specific application, especially for load‑bearing, safety‑critical, or high‑stress uses.

Ensuring that dimensions, tolerances, and functional requirements of your design are appropriate for your intended use.

7. Design Files and Intellectual Property

7.1 Your designs

You retain all ownership rights in your original designs and files. We do not claim ownership over your 3D models or content.

By submitting designs or files to us, you grant VoxelVue a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to use, reproduce, and modify those designs only as necessary to provide the Services you request (for example, preparing files for printing, performing test prints, or making minor adjustments for printability).

We will not sell, share, or reuse your designs for other customers without your explicit permission, except as required by law.

7.2 Our designs and materials

Any original models, templates, tools, or images created by VoxelVue (including website content, logos, and sample designs) remain our intellectual property and may not be copied, resold, or redistributed without our written permission.

8. 3D‑Printed Items: Use and Limitations

3D‑printed items have specific characteristics and limitations. Unless we explicitly agree otherwise in writing:

  • Our prints are intended primarily for prototyping, display, hobby use, and light functional applications.
  • We do not guarantee that any printed item is suitable for high‑load, structural, medical, safety‑critical, or life‑support uses.
  • You are responsible for evaluating whether a part is appropriate and safe for your intended use.
  • We are not responsible for damage, injury, or loss resulting from misuse of items or from using items beyond their intended purpose or material capabilities.

If you require engineering‑grade, certified, or regulated parts, you must consult an appropriate professional and may need services beyond what we provide.

9. User Accounts (if applicable)

If our website allows you to create an account:

  • You must provide accurate, current information and keep your login details confidential.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used in a fraudulent or abusive way.

10. Acceptable Use of the Website

When using our website, you agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the security or operation of the site.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site, server, or systems.
  • Use the site to upload or distribute malicious code, spam, or harmful content.
  • Scrape, copy, or reuse significant portions of site content without permission.

We may monitor use of the site and take reasonable steps (including blocking access) to protect it from misuse.

11. Privacy

Your use of our website and Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

12. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Our website and Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties or conditions of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
  • We do not guarantee that our website will be error‑free, secure, or always available.
  • We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information on the website or about the suitability of any printed item for a particular purpose.

Any reliance you place on information from our website or Services is at your own risk.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VoxelVue and its owners, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities.
  • Injuries, property damage, or other losses arising out of or related to:
    • Your use or inability to use our website or Services.
    • Any errors or omissions in our website content.
    • Any 3D‑printed items provided by us that are used in ways we did not specifically recommend or approve.

In any case where we are found liable despite the above, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims will be limited to the amount you paid to VoxelVue for the specific order or Service giving rise to the claim, to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not allowed by law (for example, liability for fraud or certain consumer‑protection obligations).

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VoxelVue and its owners, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of the website or Services.
  • Your designs, files, or content.
  • Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.
  • Your infringement of any third‑party rights.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any disputes arising out of or related to them or the Services will be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict‑of‑laws rules.

You agree that any legal action or proceeding between you and VoxelVue will be brought exclusively in the courts of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, unless another forum is required by applicable consumer‑protection laws.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example, to reflect changes in our Services, business practices, or legal requirements.

  • When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
  • Your continued use of the website or Services after any changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the website and Services.

17. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that portion will be interpreted in a manner consistent with applicable law to reflect, as nearly as possible, the original intent, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any specific order confirmations or agreements for particular projects, constitute the entire agreement between you and VoxelVue regarding your use of the website and Services, and supersede all prior agreements or understandings (written or oral) on that subject.
